A group Rider’s Embassy, with the theme One Nigeria Ride has set a date which coincides with Nigeria’s independent day to showcase love for the country in what they termed as Unity Ride, the riders show is first of its kind in the country since independence.
The group in an email statement to Wailersng.com said that, the riders show is their own way of contributing to the unity of the country, stressing that Nigeria is better when united against all the wanton division and crisis rocking the country, it further said that Nigeria’s Unity will benefit all.
The Statement Reads:
As we all have noticed, there has been a wave of divisive and secessionist sentiments sweeping across Nigeria since the recent 2015 general elections. Across the different regions of the country, individuals and groups have become increasingly vocal in their calls for the division of this great nation Nigeria.
Amidst all of this, many Nigerians remain fervent in our belief in the oneness of Nigeria; that we are stronger together, that progress and development only comes through enduring peace and unity, that our differences are what make us a beautiful people and our population is what has earned us the position as the giant of Africa.
We, at Riders’ Embassy believe that Nigeria is a beautiful place filled with opportunities in her unique diversity. We have a passion for riding for just causes.
We therefore intend to use the October 1st Independence Day commemoration of this year 2017 to remind our fellow countrymen across board that this nation is the only one we have to call our own and that unity in diversity is the sure way to achieve the development of Nigeria, an aim that all well-meaning Nigerians yearn to see come to pass.
Our means of spreading this noble message will involve us riding with bikers from different parts of this great country in Abuja as we celebrate Nigeria’s 57th Independence Day anniversary, hence THE ONE NIGERIA RIDE.
We will bring together hundreds of experienced motorbike and car riders with a belief in the promises of a united Nigeria to use their skills and stunts to ride for One Nigeria, a Nigeria that is for and works for every Nigerian.
Activities for the One Nigeria Ride include an International Press Conference, the Ride of over 100 bikers from Unity Fountain through Garki and Wuse making selected stops along the way, and back to Unity Fountain where we will be hoisting the biggest Nigerian Flag in Nigeria at Unity Fountain and an after party to round off the event.
We therefore use this opportunity to call on fellow patriotic Nigerians and Nigerian Bikers to be part of and support this ride for the unity, peace, progress and prosperity of our Great Nation.
God Bless Nigeria.
