Edo LG Poll 2018 | A Big Fraud and Sham, Calls For Total Cancellation – ADP

A chieftain of Action Democratic Party (ADP), Edo state chapter, Mr. Pius Alile has described the local government election held today, as a fraud and sham.

Hon. Pius Alile, said “In many wards there were no election results sheets. These results sheets were deliberately withheld so that a predetermined results can be announced. It confirm our earlier suspicion that ballot papers has been thumb printed and results sheets completed throughout the night”, he asserted.

He stated that, all officers earlier trained for the exercise were all replaced over night with APC members. Officials on ground were not able to explain why results sheets were not made available.

However he added that, some wards materials arrived at 3pm in order to frustrate potential voters. In some wards ballot boxes were forcefully taken away in collaboration with security agents. Thugs were mobilised to beat up the ADP chairmanship candidate.

Continuing, “I want to say that this is a plus for the ADP. It shows as a party we are fully mobilised for the 2019 election.”

Conclusively, he said In a fair contest supervised by INEC we will win clear and square. It is obvious that APC is gradually losing its popularity and fading away from the political dynamics of Edo state.

In a similar development, the National Youth Leader of ADP, Prince Edobor Oghosar said that Governor Godwin Obaseki has shown no sign of credibility and has betrayed the true meaning of democracy.

He stated further that APC has become a shame to the ethos of democracy thereby calling for the total cancellation of the entire process.

Prince Edabor alleged that all the polling units officers are card carrying members of APC saying that the process is flawed and Marred with violence. He is of the opinion that Democratic election did not take place in Edo State today.
