Confusion Hits APC Over Method Of Primary Election.


Members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has been thrown into confusion over different directives on their coming primaries.

WAILERSNG.com, on Sunday learnt that the party leadership is insisting on direct Primaries for all elective positions to elect candidates for 2019 elections.

Some States like Ogun State have adopted consensus method, few states settled for indirect Primaries to enable selected delegates to decide on final candidates In their States while many others will face direct Primaries which will enable all the card carrying and financial members of the party to partake in the selection of candidates ahead of the 2019 elections.

There seems to be crack within the ruling APC as some governors are rumoured not to have obtain their expression of interest and nomination forms.

Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State according to a high ranking member of APC in Lagos, confirmed that he has not purchased his own form as at the time of the report because of some unresolved issues with the National Leader of APC, Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu.

Another report says that, a governorship Aspirant whose name has been kept out of the circulation has obtained APC nomination form secretly in a bid to edge out governor Ambode from returning for second term.

Some governors are insisting on delegate elections to enable them return while those spoiling for war with them are also insisting on Direct Primaries. Events in the coming days will unveil many things kept out from the public by most of the political parties especially the APC.______________________________________________
